WHEN YOU ARE READY TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE UPCOUNTRY LAW WILL BE THERE
At UPCOUNTRY LAW, we take Estate Planning seriously, as sometimes this can be an emotional or stressful time for some people, therefore we prefer that all our Estate Planning clients come into our beautiful Haiku Office, for a personal, one on one, in-person meeting, with our Estate Planning Attorney, Garrett J. Eden, Esq.
Whether the meeting takes place inside the Law Office or over at the outside gazebo area in the flower garden, at UPCOUNTRY LAW, we will strive to make sure your Estate Planning experience is one that is easy and stress free, and is one that you will walk away with feeling relaxed and comforted, knowing that upon your future passing, you did the best you could, to ensure that your family and loved ones will be financially protected and appropriately cared for in the future.
After your Estate Plan has been drafted and properly executed, we will provide you with all the originals, digital copies, along as many additional hard copies as you want. At UPCOUNTRY LAW we intend to continue our relationship with our Estate Planning clients, as our Office will keep safe hard copies of your entire Estate Plan for a period of 6 years, (or longer upon written request), so that if you ever lose the original documents, or you need to make any amendments to your Estate Plan, we will be ready to assist you.
WHAT IF I DONT WANT A FULL ESTATE PLAN?
At UPCOUNTRY LAW we know not everyone is ready or can afford a full Estate Plan, usually consisting of a Pour-over Will, Revocable Declaration of Trust, a Certificate of Trust, and a Memorandum of Trust, and may also include additional documents including an Advanced Health Care Directive, Authorization to Disclose Medical Information, Assignments of Personal Assets, General or Special Power of Attorneys, Assignments of Membership Interests or Personal Effects, and Deeds to Trust.
We also offer simple and inexpensive ways to at least make sure your testamentary wishes are honored, such a temporary or an emergency Holographic Will, a standard Last Will and Testament, a simple Revocable or Irrevocable Trust, or we can record a variety of different types of revocable beneficiary or survivorship deeds with the State of Hawaii, that will automatically take effect upon your future passing.
All of the above options of course have their advantages and disadvantages, which will all be thoroughly explained to you by our Estate Planning Attorney, Garrett J. Eden, Esq.
If you have questions about Estate Planning, Advanced Health Care Directives, Last Will and Testaments, or if you feel ready to create an full Estate Plan for your family and loved ones, feel free to call UPCOUNTRY LAW at (808) 419-6662, or use our handy CONTACT FORM to begin the process.
